Obituary of Joshua Joseph Knapp

Joshua Joseph Knapp, age 31, of Kimbles died unexpectedly Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Born June 13, 1990, in Kimbles, Joshua was the son of Bernard Lester Knapp Sr. and the late Sandra Jean (Fotusky) Knapp. A lifelong resident of Kimbles, he attended Wallenpaupack Area High School. He had been a maintenance worker for Lackawaxen Township, but more recently as a caretaker for his father. Joshua enjoyed helping at the many events at Forest Volunteer Fire Company. He also loved to hunt and fish. A loving son, brother, nephew, and uncle, he was a friend to all who knew him. In addition to his father, he is survived by his siblings: Timothy Knapp of Kimbles, Tammy Knapp of Honesdale, Melissa Gasiorek and her husband Walter of Beach Lake, Ethelyn Knapp and her significant other Kenny Gabel of Lackawaxen, and Bernard Knapp Jr. and his wife Ellen of Kimbles; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who adored him. Private cremation will be held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. Memorials may be made to Forest Volunteer Fire Dept., 1129 Towpath Rd, Hawley, PA 18428. A Celebration of Joshua’s Life will be held at a future date to be announced.
