Louise E. Cookson, age 77, of Piermont, NY, died Monday, October 4, 2021, at Christian Healthcare Center in Wyckoff, NJ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Alfred B. Cookson, in 2016.
Born March 1, 1944, in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, Louise was the daughter of the late Frank Aaron and Louise Augusta (Kessler) Kievit. Formerly of Bergenfield, NJ and Blooming Grove, PA, she had been a school secretary until her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and John Streppone of Piermont, NY., her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sandra Cookson of Sloatsburg, NY, and grandchildren, Anthony, Michael, Mikayla, John, Vincent and Tyler.
There will be a private Graveside Service on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 11 AM at Green Gates Cemetery, 1005 Hudson St., Hawley, PA.
