Obituary of Robert R. Olver

Robert R. Olver, age 84, of Blooming Grove Twp., PA, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Mr. Olver was the oldest of nine children, born July 5,1937 in Honesdale, PA to the late Russell Charles and DeLila (Shaffer) Olver. He was predeceased by a son, Kenneth Olver, in 2018. Robert liked tinkering with cars, enjoyed being Santa's helper, and "grandfathered" many more children than his own. He retired as a truck driver for Pocono Oil in 2007. He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Marie A. (Spuehler) Olver, three daughters: Kathleen Cronin of Honesdale, PA, Ellen Loughlin of Henryville, PA and Barbara MacGregor of Lords Valley, PA, and one son: Edwin Olver of Promised Land, Greentown, PA. Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 12th from 6 to 8 PM at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 13th at 10 AM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley with Chaplain Richard Olver, officiating. Burial will be in Canaan Corners in Waymart.
