Obituary of Karen J. Fisher

Karen Fisher, 48, of Hawley, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 21st, 2021 in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Visitation will be held at Teeter's East Chapel,505 Church Street, Hawley, Pennsylvania on December 6th from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM with Reverend Ken Platt of Wallenpaupack Church, officiating. Masking will be required at the visitation and the service. Karen was born in Mount Kisco, New York to Carl and Grace (Losee) Burpo on April 9th, 1973. She went to high school at Bellefonte Area High School and graduated in 1992. She worked on the merchandising team for Home Depot for seven years. She enjoyed working in her garden, taking care of her chickens and her dogs, hiking, spending time in nature, baking, and working on her home. Karen is survived by her children, Jeremy Fisher, Tabitha Fisher, and Amanda Fisher; her parents, Carl and Grace Burpo; brother, Ken DeBonrepos; and dogs, Sophie, Chloe, and Hughie. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Peter and Clara Losee; paternal grandparents, Walter and Jean Burpo; and cousin, Jason Losee. Flowers donated for the service may be sent to Teeter's Funeral Chapel, 505 Church Street, Hawley, Pennsylvania, 18428. If desired, memorial donations may be made directly to the family to cover related expenses. Please contact the family directly if you wish to donate. Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel.
