Lois Jean Kobe, age 73, a resident of Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale died Thursday, January 6, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Albert Stephen Kobe, in 2017.
Born December 1, 1948, in Brooklyn, NY, Lois was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Emma (Schnaufer) Ballinger. Prior to her retirement, she and her husband owned and operated Mailboxes, Etc. in Honesdale.
She is survived by one son: Al Kobe of Astoria, NY; one daughter and son-in-law: Christine and Jason Saylor of Honesdale; and one granddaughter: Julie Saylor.
Calling hours will be Sunday, January 9, from 2 to 4 PM, and Monday, January 10, from 11:00 AM to 1:00PM at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Deacon Paul J. Cooper officiating.
Private cremation will be held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
