Obituary of Matthew W. Rollison

Matthew W. Rollison, age 37, of Hawley died Sunday, October 5, 2014. He is survived by his wife of nine years, the former Christina Battinelli.
Born October 15, 1976, in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of Wayne and Kathy (Charles) Rollison of Lake Ariel. He was a graduate of Mid Valley High School. He proudly served in the US Army Airborne Division 337 and Battalion 515.
Matt was employed as a measurement specialist in the gas well drilling industry. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and cooking. He was a true outdoorsman who loved being in the woods. He loved his parents and his sister, but his children were the love of his life. He served as Den Leader for Tafton Cub Scout Pack #229 and Assistant Scout Master of Tafton Boys Scout Troop #129.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his son: Hunter Moser of Hawley; his daughter: Lena Rollison of Hawley; sister and brother-in-law: Laurie and Ronald Kenyon Jr. of Mustang, OK; his grandmother: June Rollison of Honesdale; and his nephew: Joshua Kenyon of Mustang, OK. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Doug and Dorothy Charles, and his paternal grandfather, Keith Rollison.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 8, from 4 to 7 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. There will be a Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 9, at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, with Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor, officiating. Private cremation will be held at Lake Region Crematory.
