Obituary of Kenneth Earl Swingle III

Kenneth Earl Swingle III, age 66, of Lords Valley, PA, died Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at home. Mr. Swingle III was born March 12,1955 at Blooming Grove Twp., PA and was the son of the late Kenneth E Jr. and Ruth Elizabeth (Trivelpiece) Swingle. He was also predeceased by Baby Penney. Ken served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He help start Lords Valley Towing in 1978 with Joseph Korycki and worked on and off for many years. He was a tradesman of all sorts, who enjoyed woodworking with his sawmill and loved being in his woodshop. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening and was a member of Blooming Grove Fire Department, NRA and Trappers Association. Ken served as a Deacon at the 1st Baptist Church of Hawley, where he was a member. He is survived by his wife of 39 years: Margaret (Emery) Swingle; one daughter: Ruth Anne and her husband Shaun McHugh of Lakeville, PA; one son: Kenneth E Swingle IV of Lords Valley, PA; one granddaughter, Hannah McHugh; four sisters: Betty Swingle of WI, Kathee and her husband, Joe Ferro of NC, Sandy and her husband, Rich Diem of PA and Gloria and her husband, Josh Ames of OR, and one brother: John Swingle and his wife, Leslie of VA; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Saturday, January 29th from 1 to 2 PM at First Baptist Church Of Hawley, Church St & Bishop Ave, Hawley, PA, followed by the funeral service at 2 PM, with Pastor Dan Baker officiating. Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Of Hawley, Church St and Bishop Ave., Hawley, PA 18428
