Obituary of Izabelle Justine Bartleson

Izabelle Justine Bartleson, age 14, of Hawley passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022. She was the beloved daughter of Stephen and Lorraine (Pastor) Bartleson. Born December 16, 2007, in Scranton, Izzy was about to start her freshman year at Wallenpaupack Area High School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hawley. Naturally happy and caring, she loved her friends and family, especially her cousins. She had her own special style, which she expressed with her make up, as well as with her paintings and drawings. A drummer and guitarist, she was passionate about playing and listening to music. She bonded with her dad over their shared loved of square-body Chevy trucks and their project building a custom hot rod together. One of her family’s most treasured photos is of Izzy as an infant being held in the arms of her great-great grandmother, Lillian Plum. Izzy was the light and love of her parents lives and she will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandmother: Martha Pastor of Tafton; her paternal grandparents: Patricia and Stanley Bartleson of Hawley; two uncles: Chris Bartleson and his partner Katrina Greenley of Hawley and Shawn Frary of Southport, NC; her aunt: Michelle Frary of Hawley; and her cousins: Amanda Leshko, Calista Frary, Dawson Lafy and Eva Bartleson. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Stephen Pastor. A party in her honor will be held at The Watering Hole, 153 Welwood Ave., Hawley, on Saturday, September 17, 2022, with an Open House from 1 to 5 PM. Anyone whose life Izzy touched is invited to join the family in celebrating her memory.
