Obituary of Susan M. Wood

Susan M. Wood, age 63, of Woodledge Village, Hawley, PA, died Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at home. Born November 15, 1958, in St. Louis, MO, Susan was the daughter of the late Bruce M. and Genevieve Agnes (Smith) Wood. She was employed as an echocardiogram technician by Nyack Hospital in New York for 41 years. A longtime resident of Garnerville, NY, she was a part-time resident of Woodledge Village for 15 years before moving there full-time last year. She had most recently been working as a sales associate at Home Depot. Susan is survived by her partner, Carrie L. Birch; and one brother: Paul Wood of Salisbury Mills, NY. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wood. Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. In recognition of her love of animals, donations in Susan's memory may be made to the donor's local animal rescue organization.
