Karen and I became really good friends while I was her husbands caregiver. We would call each other 4-5 times a week to check in on each other and talk anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. She would call me if she needed to check herself into the hospital or get picked up and I’d be right there. On my days off I would take her shopping so she could get some up to date clothes. And we would get ourselves in trouble by shopping on QVC bc if she bought it, I bought and vise versa. We were a bad influence on each other when it came to that, LOL. I tried to help her threw her issues and I did for a little while but the disease was just to strong for her to fight. At least she doesn’t have to suffer with those extreme migraines anymore. She will be forever missed but never forgotten.
