Obituary of John W. Jones

John W. "Jack" Jones, age 77, of Lake Ariel died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 20, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Vivien (Carter) Jones.
Born September 1, 1945, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Jack was the son of the late Elmer J. and Florence Evelyn (Urban) Jones. He served in the Army from 1966 to 1972.
Prior to his retirement, Jack worked as a technical writer for Bell Labs in New Jersey.
In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: John W. and Karen Jones of Lake Ariel; a daughter-in-law: Brooke (Mrs. Joseph) Jones; and four grandchildren: Jacqulin Jones, William Shrenk Jones, John W. Jones III, and Kimberly Laurel Jones.
Additionally, Jack is survived by his brothers: Arthur, James, Gerald and Anthony; and sisters: Della Davies and Ann Waltman.
Jack was preceded in death by his son: Joseph Patrick Jones; one sister: Judith Sapia; and four brothers: William, Joseph, Thomas and Patrick.
Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held at a future date to be announced.
