Obituary of Elizabeth LaPlant Miszler

Elizabeth LaPlant Miszler, age 60, of White Mills died Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Geisinger-Community Medical Center, Scranton. She is survived by her husband, Charles Edward Miszler, with whom she would have celebrated her 13th anniversary on Dec. 19. Born October 8, 1962, in Ellenville, NY, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Donald Charles and Lorraine Gertrude (Cram) Tice. A resident of Hawley for many years, she had worked as a beautician at the Cutting Line, as well as other salons over the years in other places she had lived. In her free time, Elizabeth loved crafting, crocheting, sewing and gardening. She was also passionate about rescuing animals. While living in Hawley, she attended First Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children: Christal Coykendall of Philadelphia, Adam James Cram LaPlant of Maryland, James David LaPlant Jr. of Delaware, and Jamie Lynn Schwartz of Erie, PA; two stepsons: Jason Miszler of Tafton and Charles Edward Miszler Jr. of Tafton; one sister: Lori Carr of Florida; her grandchildren: Ivory, Damien, Isaac, Kenny, Angelo, Maddison, Ethen, Mikey, Nevaeh, Elana, and Hannah; and her sister-in-law: Doreen Tice of Port Jervis, NY. Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 28, from 10 to 11:30AM at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The memorial service will follow at 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
