Obituary of Joseph Richard Patroni

Joseph Richard Patroni, age 73, of Tanglwood North, Tafton, died Thursday, December 22, 2022, at home. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Carol Ann (Engvaldsen) Kleinhans Patroni. Joseph was born February 5, 1949, in New Rochelle, NY, and was the son of the late Joseph and Ruby Lee Patroni. A resident of Pike County for many years, he worked as a truck driver for Yellow Freight until his retirement 10 years ago. He was a lifetime member and past president of Westfall Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. A die-hard Yankees fan, he enjoyed models, NASCAR and hunting, but most of all fishing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Anthony Joseph Patroni of North Carolina and William Richard Patroni of Connecticut; one stepson: Walter Kleinhans and his wife Valerie Schariest of Tafton; one step daughter: Michele Polanis and her husband Gary of Inlet, NY; one sister: Sharon Myers of Pensacola, FL; four grandchildren: Sean and Tori Dahl, Katie Kleinhans and Jenna Palumbo; two great grandchildren: Mason Padgett and Weston Palumbo; and his beloved Jack Russell terriers: Penny, Trevor, Tucker and Chase. A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St., Hawley, PA, with Father William A. Mentz officiating. Visitation will immediately preceed the service from 2 to 4 PM. Private cremation will be held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
