Obituary of Steve Mager

Steve Mager, age 90, of Hawley died Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at his niece's residence in Valley Stream, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine M. (Kleis) Mager, in 2010. Born September 3, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY, Steve was the son of the late Alexander and Sophie (Straskevich) Mager. He was the last surviving of their nine children. He worked as a longshoreman until his retirement. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, January 27, from 1 to 3 PM and 5 to 8 PM at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 28, at 11:00 AM at St Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 123 Richardson Ave., Shohola, with Rev. Edward J. Casey officiating. Burial will be in German Hill Cemetery, Shohola.
