Obituary of John A Kirkpatrick Jr

John A. Kirkpatrick, Jr. 60, of Hawley, PA died Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale after a brief illness. Born January 31, 1963, John was the son of the late John A. "Jack" Kirkpatrick and the late Elizabeth "Betty" Kirkpatrick. John was educated in NY State public schools before pursuing a career as a Cooling Tower Technician with the John Calvetti Company. John was an avid fisherman, receiving professional recognition and sponsorships. John was a member of the Peace Valley Bass Association until it disbanded in 2022 and served as its president for many years. John will forever be remembered as a man who put his family first and will be deeply missed. John leaves behind a wife of 30 years, Jeanne M. Meyers Kirkpatrick (Hawley), two sons John C. "Jack" Kirkpatrick (Beach Lake) and Nicholas "Nick" Close (Honesdale), and two daughters, Megan Kirkpatrick (Hawley), and Ashley Kirkpatrick (Yardley), and eight grandchildren. A private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel, PA. A memorial service will take place at Teeter's East Chapel, 505 Church Street, Hawley, on Saturday, February 25 at 1:00 PM. Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the start of the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to, and are under the care of Teeters Funeral Chapel, Hawley, PA.
