To one of my longest, loving, and special childhood friends. Alice and I lived on Marble Hill while we were growing up. We spent countless hours together playing with dolls, swimming at the local swimming hole (down a very steep hill which always seemed to be even steeper going back up) and eating sticky buns from
Helene’s Bakery! (Helene was my mother who made all kinds of homemade breakfast items, pies and breads from my parents’ small bakery on the Hill).
I have nothing but good memories for the special times that I shared with her throughout all these years.
And have had deepest sympathy for her for all the loss in her life.
She never complained about the losses, misfortunes and heartaches which I know she felt each and everyday.
Her strength and determination to push forward was one of her greatest strengths. As was, her friendship with me.
You will be missed but never forgotten.
Rest in peace. As I know u have been reunited with all the loved ones who have gone before you. Goodbye, for now, Alice. We shall meet again

Jason, Sally and Pete,
Like you, I've spent a lot of time the last couple days thinking about Alice, so many good memories in the past 73 years. Alice came in the world 5 weeks and two days before me and as we got older my birthday wishes to Alice started out with, "Happy Birthday old lady." Not to worry she got back at me when my birthday came.
I wish I knew how many days we spent together as kids. ALOT!
we would climb the apple tree at your Hudson Street home, climb on the rock across the street and watch the cars go by. Her idea not mine. She could climb like a monkey, me not so much. We went swimming every chance we had. I remember at about the age of 8 we decided to surprise Aunt Stella and scrub the floor upstairs. We surprised her all right, we never did that again. Making mud pies in the bird feeder at my house. Walking the tunnels under the dam. Church, Vacation Bible School. We always had fun.
Later in our teen-age years we each got caught up in spending all our time with our boyfriends (future husbands) and our time together was limited. But after that we made up for wasted time.
We always were there for each other, good times and bad. I'm going to miss her very much, as you will also. She's gone but I will never forget her. Actually knowing she happyand in Heaven waiting for us makes me very happy.
Love,
Lou
Jason, Though I wasn't around much in your growing up years I know she loved you so much.

Jason, Sally and Pete,
So many good memories of all the cousins growing up together, especially Sundays at the lake and on Columbus Ave.
We are lucky to have all been so close and our memories continued as we became adults.
Alice has had so much and now she can rest.
I can only imagine the reunion she must be having
with everyone. Most importantly with our Lord and Savior.
I love the pictures, Alice was so cute and those blue eyes. I can hear my dad saying here comes Alice Blue Gown.
Thinking of all of you and know how much she will be missed, hold all those good memories close.
Barb❤️
