Matthew Thomas Gatham, age 38, of Lackawaxen died Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.
Born April 27, 1984, in Astoria, Queens, NY, he was the son of Thomas Gatham of Lords Valley and Lucy (Perino) Gatham of Lackawaxen.
He worked in the kitchen at the Summit Restaurant at Ski Big Bear at Masthope in Lackawaxen. In his free time, Matthew was an avid video gamer.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by several aunts and uncles: Susan Lawrence of Myrtle Beach, SC, Doreen and George Sanchez of Whitestone, NY, and Caroline and James Radie of Lords Valley.
He was predeceased by his brother, Michael, in 2018.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 19, from 1 to 2 PM at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, Inc., 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Norman Demming of St. Paul’s Independent Bible Church officiating.
Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
