Robert J. Koebel, age 34, of Greentown passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 21, 2023.
Born March 29, 1989, in Norristown, PA, Robert was the son of Thomas Vincent and Therese (McDonough) Koebel of Greentown. He was a US Navy veteran who served in Afghanistan. He earned an associate degree from Universal Technical Institute in Exton, PA.
A Greentown resident for the past ten years, Robert was employed as a Technician by Corey Associates (CAI) in Greentown. Robert had many passions, he loved his nieces and nephews dearly and greatly enjoyed spending time with them. Robert had many hobbies. He loved DJaying and improv. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics, fishing with the guys and most anything to do with nature.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his seven siblings: Ann Ritter and her husband Robert of East Greenville, PA; Thomas G. Koebel of Greentown; John Koebel of Chico, CA; Kathleen Slagle of Limerick, PA; Michael Koebel and his fiance Nancy of Norristown, PA; Mary DeCarlo of Greentown; and Melissa Koebel of Honesdale, PA; as well as his aunt, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 30, at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley with Monsignor Robert Carroll officiating. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA, at a future date.
