Obituary of Frances Helen Chojnacki

Frances Helen Chojnacki, age 79, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale. Born September 13, 1943, in Brooklyn, NY, Fran was the daughter of the late Adam Anthony and Frances Helen (Wisniewski) Chojnacki. After living in Brooklyn for most of her life, she had been a Hawley area resident for the past 20 years. While living in Brooklyn, Fran was a member of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Greenpoint. She attended St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Shohola after moving to Pennsylvania. A deeply kind person, Fran was a devout Catholic who kept Jesus in her heart and prayed for her family every day. A free spirit, Fran liked to color and do word searches. She loved swimming, listening to music and singing along. She also loved to go bird watching and might be found enjoying an occasional beer. Fran is survived by one daughter: Diane Falce of Centereach, NY; two sons: Anthony Voytasko of Maine and Christopher Voytasko of West Babylon, NY; two sisters: Dorothy Russell of Hawley and Lore' Setlock of Whittier, CA; one brother: Robert Chojnacki of Rowland; and four grandchildren: Teresa and Joseph Falce, Jalen Voytasko and Damien Dross; and many nieces and nephews. Fran was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Adam and Walter Chojnacki. A Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 30, 2023 at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 123 Richardson Ave., Shohola, with Rev. Edward J. Casey officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Shohola, following the service. Fran's family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, as well as the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart, for their heartfelt care and professionalism.
