Today is October 5th. 2023 and I just received a sympathy card from my friend Beth ( a fellow Relay for Life Volunteer) of Ilona's Passing. Ilona and I were true Friends and did everything together for Relay for Life. I know the family of Ilona knew of our special close friendship. I am not sure why no one could have informed me of her passing. I am truly heartbroken and saddened by her death and I could not attend the celebration of her life. I (Mission Chair of GLR Relay for Life) would have at that the celebration of her life spoke of her outstanding devotion to Relay for Life. Jack and I extend our deepest sympathy to her family. Again, had I known of her passing I would have truly let everyone know how much I loved Ilona and the special place she held in my heart and always will.
