Obituary of Robert Alan Hoch

Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert Alan "Big Bob" Hoch, age 61, of Promised Land died Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg, surrounded by family. Born September 20, 1962, in Allentown, PA, Bob was the son of the late Kenneth Leon Hoch and the late Jane Anne (Johnson) Hoch Miller. A Viking at heart, Big Bob was a fan of motorcycle riding, tender cuts of prime rib, and good times with great friends. Bob had an infectious laugh and was always the life of the party. Despite his tough and imposing exterior, everyone who knew him could testify as to how big of a teddy bear he actually was. He was always there to support his family and friends and would do anything for the people he loved. He is survived by his daughter Nicole Carpenter of Chicago, IL, his daughter Kristin Nicholson and her husband Matthew of Jefferson Twp., PA; his son Zachary Hoch of Promised Land, and his son Bryan Carpenter and his wife Kasey of Clio, MI; one sister: Susan Hoch of Blooming Grove: one brother: Richard Hoch and his wife Jennifer of Lakeville; several nieces and nephews, five grandchildren: Klaira, Lydia, Elliana, Shawna and Emma; and his granddog: Deo. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Gary Hoch. Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. A Celebration of Big Bob's Life will be held at Renegades Saloon, 1058 Main St., Newfoundland, on Saturday, November 11th from 2pm to 5pm.
