I can't put into words how much I miss Len. But I find some comfort in this song.
All my love always, my handsome prince,
Nancy
There You’ll Be
Song by Faith Hill
When I think back on these times
And the dreams we left behind
I'll be glad 'cause I was blessed to get to have you in my life
When I look back on these days
I look and see your face
You were right there for me
In my dreams, I'll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart, there'll always be a place for you for all my life
I'll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am, there you'll be
And everywhere I am, there you'll be
Well, you showed me how it feels
To feel the sky within my reach
And I always will remember all the strength you gave to me
Your love made me make it through
Oh, I owe so much to you
You were right there for me
In my dreams, I'll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart, there'll always be a place for you for all my life
I'll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am, there you'll be
'Cause I always saw you in my light, my strength
And I wanna thank you now for all the ways
You were right there for me (You were right there for me)
You were right there for me
For always
In my dreams, I'll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart, there'll always be a place for you for all my life
I'll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am, there you'll be
And everywhere I am, there you'll be
There you'll be

I don’t know quite how to put into words my feelings. I miss you so much. It comes in bits and spurts, and sometimes for no apparent reason. I’m grateful for the little reminders of you throughout my home, photos, moments, wind chimes... I feel you with me everyday. I am comforted by your spirit presence now, as I was when you were here in body. Thank you for being the Best Daddy for me. I will always carry you in my heart! ❤️

I wrote this, framed it, and gave it to my Dad as a gift in 2018.
I love you for.....
- Getting me ice cream and you would always tell me it was dripping so you could "help" me by eating some of my ice cream cone taking big licks and bites
- Taking me to get jelly doughnuts and to this day, they are my favorite
- Taking me to the shore with the Bukoweics
- Going to work with you and taking us all out to lunch, which in my mind was very fancy, and I would always get a Shirley Temple
- Walking me to the gate at the airport, even when they would try and stop you
- Arranging for fun summers spending time with Grandma Mullen, Aunt Carolyn Uncle Ray and the cousins...some of my best childhood memories
- Teaching me to love the Mets!
- Going to Shea Stadium and sometimes staying for 15, 16, 17 innings....sometimes leaving and listening to the rest of the game on the drive home back to Connecticut.
- Calling you from a party in California when the Mets won THE WORLD SERIES!!
- Always stopping to see Aunt Blanche
- Touring New York City and seeing The Fantasticks off Broadway.....I remember we saw a scantily clad woman and you told me she was "a lady of the evening"
- Making sure I always spent time with Sheela and Sheree when I was back east
- Taking advantage of business trips to California so we could see you and spend the night with you in your hotel and you would take us to breakfast in the morning and drop us to school
- On those same trips the whole family would go out to a nice dinner all together
- Playing Canasta together, and all the silly faces and noises you would make
- Going to Hawaii with my friend Tia for my 16th birthday
- You probably don't remember this, but stroking my hair when I was 17 and heartbroken after Adam and I broke up
- Flying me to Pennsylvania after my engagement was called off and I needed family and a distraction to heal
- Walking me down the aisle when I was getting married and you made idle chit chat to distract me from being so nervous (and I thought it was really cool that you wore your sunglasses!)
- How when I dance with you, you know how to lead and you would always hum with the music
- Flying to California after each of my daughters were born and spending a week with me helping and getting to know your granddaughters
- Treating my family to trips to Pennsylvania, Newport, Palm Desert and Kauai so we could visit
- Truly making an effort to have a relationship with my daughters despite the distance between us
- Being the BEST Papa the girls could ever ask for
- Your smile and cheeks, which I think I inherited from you, and now Payton inherited from me
- Your sense of humor and kind, generous heart
- Your unconditional love
Love always,
Doni

Dad, I don’t have words yet to express the myriad of emotions I have. Knowing death is an integral part of life is not yet helpful, but it will be. Pictures and memories will be a treasure one day soon. Love, Sheela

Still missing you lots, Daddy. OX
Those we love don't go away,

Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

My fondest memories of Len revolve around the countless barbecues that Len and Nancy hosted at their lovely lake home. Len would spend hours with us on his boat, always making sure everyone had a turn. The children especially liked tubing off the boat. He was always kind and generous with his time. He will be greatly missed.

Oh, Daddy! I have so many wonderful memories to share. For now, I've just returned from PA and I'm missing you. I'll share more later, but for now, I loved you before, I love you now, and I will love you forever. Rest in peace, Papa! OXOX

Dear Nancy & Family:
Please accept our deepest sympathy at this time of great sorrow. We are all grateful to Len and his affectionate imprint on all of us. Len's work with Stan for the Pennwood Association was a partnership to be admired. Len's skills as a CPA were a benefit to everyone in this community. His compassion to always do everything right was a tribute to his character. Stan could not have had a more competent Treasurer and friend.
We know how much he loved to play bridge with the card club. Marie always loved having him as a partner. Len was a very gifted person who touched us all in a positive manner.
God bless him as he now sits at the table of the Lord and enjoys his heavenly reward. May you and your family be blessed with the strength to endure this difficult time. Len will be dearly missed. Love, Stan & Marie

Dear Uncle Lenny
I know I’ve told you this many times, but want to tell you again how much of a difference you made in my life. I only saw my dad around six times.
The time I spent with you and your family, coming from the commune, was my first real example of what it was to be a good father, no, a great one.
I lived such an abstract life and you showed me, without even knowing it, how to put a framework to life. Work hard and take care of your family. I’ll never forget your laugh, wonderful smile and kind heart. Watching you take your boys to sports practices and coaching them. Making those crazy drives from Buffalo to New Jersey singing songs and yelling go daddy go daddy go go go with 11 kids three adults in one station wagon. Seatbelt, are you kidding? We kids used those old fashion straps seatbelts as weapons. We had such fun on those drives. I don’t know how you put up with us. Oh yeah, you are a great dad.
I know everybody has their own perspectives, but again you changed my life for the better when I needed it and I love you forever. God bless you.
Ralph

Uncle Lenny, you filled a void that my dad left. I’ll always remember with fondness you getting up early making waffles for 12 kids and our horseback riding adventures and all us kids packed in the station wagon when we came to visit our cousins. Thank you for those memories, say hi to Meryl and Justin.
