Donald Wayne "Ricky" Carter, age 67, of Hawley died Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at home.

Ricky was born August 2, 1956, in Dillon, SC and was the son of the late William and Gladys (Blackwell) Dry. He was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn "Cookie" Smyth.

He served in the Marine Corps and was a mechanic.

He loved to bowl, work on vehicles and was a NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. He loved his family and his cat, Sweetie.

He is survived by his daughter: Mellissa Carter of Morrisville, PA; stepson: Bryan Smyth and his wife Shannon of Lakeville; six grandchildren; his former wife: Kathleen M. Kavanaugh; one sister: Diane Geyer of Sunrise, FL; and one brother: William Dry of Louisiana.

Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel.
