Obituary of Horst "Frank" Junemann

Horst "Frank" Junemann, age 87, of Fawn Lake Forest, Hawley, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. He was preceded in death by Rita, his wife of 51 years, in 2011. Frank was born April 19, 1936, in Bremen, Germany, and was the son of the late Fritz and Gertrude Junemann. After serving honorably in the US Army, he was self-employed as a painter and paper hanger until his retirement. Formerly of New Hyde Park, NY, he and his wife moved to Fawn Lake Forest in 1998. He was an avid fisherman and loved working around the house. Frank’s family was always his highest priority, both immediate and extended family. He is survived by one son: Rolf Junemann of Hawley; one daughter: Susan Conroy of Honesdale; three grandchildren: Carlos, Frank, and Nicole Martinez; and three great grandchildren: Conan, Aaron, and Autumn. Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
