Carolyn Hirt, age 65, of Hawley passed away at home on Saturday, March 30, 2024.
Born August 27, 1958, in Freeport, NY, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Peter and the late Alvina (Custer) Hirt. Prior to her retirement and move up to Hawley PA, she worked as a bank teller at Jamaica Savings Bank in NY.
Carolyn loved spending time with her great niece and nephews, who affectionately called her "Diddy Dat."
She enjoyed picking Colby, Kaylee and Emery up after school with her sister Lois.
She is survived by one sister: Lois Beck of Hawley; and two brothers: Peter Hirt (Sister In Law Fran) of Lancaster, PA and Raymond Hirt (Sister In Law Lenora) of Massapequa, NY; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She will be missed ❤️
Carolyn was predeceased by her oldest sister, Alvinia (Hirt) Barton and brother-in-law, George.
Calling hours will be Sunday, April 14, from 12 to 3 PM at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, Inc., 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Deacon Paul Cooper officiating.
Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel, PA.
