My Aunt Bernice was always a hoot! I loved being around her and especially talking with her at her kitchen table in her house on the Lackawaxen river as I did last time I visited her in PA a few years ago. She was always quick witted and full of laughter and joy! She spoke the truth directly, bluntly even, and lovingly like no one else could and I loved that about her! I remember when I was a child she would say things and I’d be in shock because my mom never spoke like that! Lol! Things like “Go play in traffic!” She had the ability to say things other people thought but would never say. And I loved her for that. I have great memories of her as a kid when she and Uncle Glen would come to visit with Beth and Craig and when we went to their home in NJ. Great memories of her at family reunions too! I especially recall when she and my Aunt Grace came to visit me in Rhode Island together. Meant so much especially since my mom was in heaven. She was a beautiful person, beloved by so many, and I will miss her dearly. I was blessed to have her life touch mine! I am so glad she is now in heaven where there is no more sadness, no more sickness, and no more earthly struggle. I look forward to seeing you again one day Aunt Bernice! Give everyone there my love! I Love you so much!- Susanne (Aanonsen) Russell -Clarksville, TN xo
