Anthony Barbato, age 74, of Honesdale died Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Gardens At Wyoming Valley, Wilkes Barre. He is survived by his wife, Frances (Brice) Barbato.
Born April 1, 1950, in Brooklyn, NY, Anthony was the son of the late Pasquale and Mary (Cirillo) Barbato. He worked as a telephone repairman, initially for NY Telephone which eventually became Verizon, until his retirement.
Formerly of Kings Park, NY, he and wife Frances moved to Honesdale 25 years ago. Anthony loved baseball and was a loyal fan of the Mets. He also enjoyed cooking and listening to Jethro Tull.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son: Anthony Barbato, Jr. of Honesdale; one daughter: Mary Meade of North Carolina; and twin granddaughters: Penelope and Emily Meade.
Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
