Obituary of Robert C. Roe II

Robert C. Roe II, age 75, of Waymart, died Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton after a brief illness. Mr. Roe was the son of the late Robert C. and Ida Mae (Davis) Roe. Bob was born in Honesdale and lived in White Mills for the majority of his life. He attended White Mills School and graduated from Wallenpaupack Area High School. He was employed by Honesdale Woodcrafters in Honesdale for over 44 years, retiring in 2008. His greatest hobbies were wood working, firewood cutting and mowing grass. He had a love for the yellow and green machines (John Deere) and could often be found mowing the yard or moving dirt with his favorite machines. He loved to travel to Maine and spent many weeks vacationing around that state. The family would like to thank the Waymart Volunteer Fire Department for their assistance over the past year. We are also grateful to the staff at Wayne Woodlands Nursing Home, Geisinger Community Medical Center and Geisinger Wyoming Valley for all the care and comfort they provided to Bob over the last several years. He is survived by his wife of 16 years: Susan A. (Razny) Roe, as well as several cats who will miss cuddling up on his lap. Calling hours will be Friday, June 7th from 10 to 11 am at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, Inc., 505 Church St, Hawley, PA, followed by the service at 11 am. Entombment will be in Glen Cove Cemetery in Narrowsburg, NY.
