Gladys Goehringer, age 89, of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Frederick Goehringer III.

Born April 28, 1935, in Philadelphia, Gladys was the daughter of the late Charles Anthony and Gladys Heiken. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. Specializing in special education, she eventually became the Regional Supervisor of the Division of Developmental Disabilities for the State of New Jersey.

Gladys is survived by her husband: Frederick Goehringer III; one daughter: Glady Goehringer of Lake Ariel; two sons: Charles (Linda) Goehringer of Dover, DE and Michael Goehringer of Cherry Hill, NJ; a daughter-in-law: Lisa Goehringer; six grandchildren: Christine Downey (Chris), Charles Goehringer II (Rilee), Jacqueline Goehringer, Phillip Jennings (Anna), Lauren Jennings and Leigh Imamov (Matt); and six great grandchildren: Jordan Jennings, Amelia, Zachariah and Elias Imamov, and Cameron and Cade Downey.

Gladys was preceded in death by her son Frederick Goehringer IV.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
