Linda Monahan, age 70, of, Greentown and formerly of East Stroudsburg and Jamison, PA, died Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Mid-Valley HealthCare Center in Peckville. Linda was born May 28, 1954, in Philadelphia, PA and was the daughter of Catherine Bauer Taylor and the late Robert McDermott. Linda, the director of technology at Settler's Hospitality, was passionate about her grandchildren and loved spending time outdoors. She enjoyed kayaking, golfing, biking, and four-wheeling, as well as traveling with friends and family. In addition to her professional and personal pursuits, she coached girls' soccer at Wallenpaupack Area. She is survived by her husband of 50 years: Mark T. Monahan; daughter and son-in-law: Kelly Monahan and Brian Davailus of Peckville; son and daughter-in-law: Kyle and Nicole Monahan of Damascus; four grandchildren: Keston, Tiegon, Ava and Brody; her mother: Catherine Bauer Taylor of Ft. Myers, FL; brother in-law: Pete Monahan of East Stroudsburg; sister in-law: Sharon Taylor of Stroudsburg; several nieces and nephews; and her granddogs: Stella, Lulu, Steel and Blaze. A Celebration of Life will be held Grant's Woods at Settler’s Inn, Main Ave., Hawley, on Saturday, October 12th, at 11:30am. Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Settlers Hospitality Group and the staff of Mid-Valley Healthcare for the great care and support they provided to Linda and her family.
