Obituary of Barbara Louise Ruggiero

Barbara Louise Ruggiero, age 80, of Fawn Lake Forest, Hawley, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024,. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James David Ruggiero. Born January 4, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY, Barbara was the daughter of the late William Francis and Florence Theresa (Gegenheimer) Green. Formerly of Mt. Arlington, NJ, she was the Supervisor of International Billing for Lucent Technologies until her retirement in 2001. Following her retirement, she and her husband James moved full time to their home in Fawn Lake Forest, which had been their vacation home since 1987. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a volunteer at the Hawley Public Library where she was named Volunteer of the Year in 2021. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter: Elizabeth Ann Broccoletti and her husband Thomas of Sparta, NJ; her son: James William Ruggiero and his wife Raeann of Fawn Lake Forest, Hawley, PA; five grandchildren: Thomas, Anthony, and Nicholas Broccoletti, and Avery and James D. Ruggiero; and her sister-in-law: Marion Aquavella of Fawn Lake Forest, Hawley, PA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, from 2 to 7 PM at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, Inc., 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. There will be a funeral mass on Thursday, October 17, at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, PA, celebrated by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Memorial donations may be made in Barbara's name to Hawley Public Library, 103 Main Ave., Hawley, PA 18428.
