Glenn Donald Johnson Obituary

Glenn Donald Johnson, 57, of Tafton, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Geisinger-Community Medical Center in Scranton. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Catherine Elizabeth Heatley-Johnson.



Born on November 5, 1966, in Passaic, NJ, Glenn was the son of the late Donald Glenn and Bernadine (Shovlin) Johnson. He earned an associate's degree from Lincoln Vo-Tech and became a skilled diesel mechanic. As a self-made man, Glenn's passion for the trucking industry led him to establish and successfully operate CMG Truck and Tire Repair in Throop, PA, where he built a reputation for excellence and reliability.



Glenn embraced life with a spirit of adventure, always seeking new experiences and challenges. He believed that no task was too big or too small and approached everything with enthusiasm and determination. Glenn loved sharing unforgettable moments with his family, creating cherished memories along the way. He was also a caring individual who prioritized the well-being of his loved ones. Additionally, he dedicated many years to volunteering with the Tafton Volunteer Fire Department, exemplifying his commitment to the community.



In addition to his wife, Glenn is survived by his son, Mark Patrick Johnson of Brooklyn, NY; his sister, Mollie Johnson Raff of St. Augustine, FL; his brother, Bernard Johnson of Long Valley, NJ; his sister-in-law, Maureen Calello of Little Falls, NJ; and his niece, Dana Johnson Waugerman of St. Augustine, FL, along with several other nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Johnson.



His family and loved ones will deeply miss him and will carry his name with love and honor.



A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 9, from 1 to 4 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 507 Church St., Hawley, PA 18428.
