Obituary of Gus Paul Lind

Gus Paul Lind, age 70, of Gino Merli Veterans Center in Scranton and formerly of Hawley, PA and NJ, died Monday, December 16, 2024, at Regional Hospital Of Scranton in Scranton. Mr. Lind was born June 14, 1954, in Jersey City, NJ and was the son of the late John and Kathryn (Bower) Blanchard. Gus served in the Navy and was a cook and a bartender at the American Legion Wilson Kelch Post in Hawley. He enjoyed entertaining friends with his cooking. He is survived by one sister: Sue Ann and her husband, Tom McLaughlin of Whippany, NJ. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 11th at 2 PM at American Legion Wilson Kelch Post 311, 521 Church St., Hawley, PA. Inurnment will be in Gate Of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ at a later date.
