Roberta Lou "Bobbi" Scalea, age 74, of Hawley died Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale.

Born August 30, 1950, in Rantoul, IL. and raised in Sundance, WY. Bobbi was the daughter of the late Robert and Marylou (James) Ulrich. A Hawley resident for the past year, she formerly resided in Wappingers Falls and Eldred, NY. Bobbi worked as a bookkeeper for many years before her retirement. She dearly loved her horses, cats and dogs. She was well known for her delicious cooking, especially her world-famous meatballs. Cooking was one of her many joys.

She is survived by one daughter: Christian "Tuffy" Thiele of Hawley; six grandchildren: Dillon, RJ, Anthony, Nicole, Jesse and Shay; 5 great grandchildren: Greyson, Ari, Winry, Charlotte and Owen; four sisters: Jeanne Rogers and her husband John of Spearfish, SD, Karen Sholes of Gillette, WY, Sandra Edwards of Sundance, WY and Susan Mathis and her husband Rod of Sundance, WY; one brother: Stephen Ulrich and his wife Charlene of Elk, WA; and many nieces and nephews.

Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

A Memorial service will be scheduled at a future date at the convenience of the family.
