Anthony J. Morano Obituary

Anthony Joseph Morano, age 70 of Lackawaxen, passed away peacefully on January 15th, 2025 in hospice care. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Diane (Ricci) Morano.

Born on July 3rd, 1954, in Bronx, NY, Anthony was the son of the late Joseph and Rose Morano. He attended Evander Child's High School and then worked as a pipe fitter for many years. He was an entrepreneur and owned his own businesses, including a landscaping business in Florida and a painting business in Pennsylvania. Later in life, Anthony worked at the Masthope Fitness Center and was a friendly face to all patrons.

Anthony deeply loved his wife, children, and four grandchildren and enjoyed being surrounded by them all. It brought him great joy to play catch with his grandsons. He hung photos of his grandchildren and their drawings in every available spot on the fridge. He was a lover of animals, especially his cats, Saiya and Zilla, and could often be found outside feeding the wildlife. Anthony found happiness in music. He especially loved to listen to the Beatles.

In addition to his wife Diane, Anthony is survived by his sister Jackie Tinelli. He is also survived by his children Jade Feliciano, Gillian Burke and her husband Brian Burke, Marlee Morano, and Richard Morano; and his grandchildren, Jack, Andi, PJ, and Alex.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the hospice care team and the nursing staff at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. They extend a special thank you to all of Anthony's friends and neighbors who supported him during his battle with Cancer.
