James F. Kottnauer, Jr., 86, of Hawley, PA, a veteran of World War II and retired printer, died Monday, October 29, 2012 at his home.
Born in the Bronx, NY on August 18, 1926 to the late James F., Sr. and Marie (Archard) Kottnauer, Jim moved Hawley, PA in 1994 to enjoy his retirement in the country.
A veteran of World War II, Jim served in the U.S. Navy from 1941 to 1945. He worked for Arrow Printing Press as a printer for many years.
Jim enjoyed fishing and taking trips all over the country. In his leisure time, he also enjoyed reading on his computer and watching his beloved New York Yankees play baseball.
Surviving are his wife, Dolores "Dee" (Nevins) Kottnauer; his daughter and son-in-law, Georgeanne and Fred Sklenar of Staten Island, NY; two stepsons, Steven Nevins of CA and James Nevins of Long Island, NY; two granddaughters, Lauren Chiafullo of Staten Island, NY and Maureen Azzarello of Staten Island, NY; and three great grandsons, James Chiafullo, Andrew Azzarello and Jack Chiafullo.
A funeral prayer service will take place on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 10 am at Teeters Chapel, 505 Church Street, Hawley, PA. Cremation will take place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel, PA
