Father Healey married my husband and I over 11 years ago... with the most beautiful sermon I've ever heard. It was perfectly crafted for Jason and me, and was exactly what I wanted to hear on our special day. He talked about different types of love, and how all were necessary for a successful marriage. Father Healey was a part of my family's life for so long, and so many wonderful memories include him - even hard times were softened by his presence. Rest in the beautiful peace you deserve, Father Healey.

Fr. Healey hired me right out of college(June 1982). He was a great boss. I enjoyed working with him. He was a very pastoral man. He was very supportive of my vocation. I appreciated that he travelled to Greensburg several times to celebrate my entrance to the Sisters of Charity, and to celebrate my final vows. Each Christmas, we continued to keep in touch. He was a blessing in my life. I will miss him.

I Heard Your Voice In The Wind Today
I Heard Your Voice In The Wind Today - Unknown
I heard your voice in the wind today
and I turned to see your face;
The warmth of the wind caressed me
as I stood silently in place.
I felt your touch in the sun today
as its warmth filled the sky;
I closed my eyes for your embrace
and my spirit soared high.
I saw your eyes in the window pane
as I watched the falling rain;
It seemed as each raindrop fell
it quietly said your name.
I held you close in my heart today
it made me feel complete;
You may have died...but you are not gone
you will always be a part of me.
As long as the sun shines...
the wind blows...
the rain falls...
You will live on inside of me forever
for that is all my heart knows.

Your thoughtfullness & kindness touched so many. Even Nagella, my new wife, loved you very much all the way from Brazil, just from the things I shared with her about you. I know you were doing what, in your heart, you always wanted & loved to do. Now you are in the Hands of God & suffer no more. Now you know peace. You leave many here very sad for the lose of you, but then everyone is happy with the fond memories of times they were with you. Growing up, you were always the added joy when you would come by Grandmas' house to visit while we were there. You will always be in our hearts & prayers. Peace to you filled with much love.

Father Healy was what every priest should stive to be; gentle, caring, spiritual and devoted to his parish. When he spoke with you, you knew he was interested in nothing else for that moment. We are blessed to have known him and seen the amazing shine of those smiling mint-green eyes. If anyone deserves to be with God, it is he, and we are sure he is in heaven showing off a great swing! But here, we miss you.

Father Healey was a perfect example of what a clergy person should be and a wonderful representative of the Christian Faith. He was a huge part of our community for decades and genuinely cared about all. I will never forget how wonderful he was to our family whenever he was called upon.
