Obituary of Robert L. Jones

Rev. Robert L. Jones, age 64, Hawley died Friday, December 12, 2003 at Home, Hawley. Rev. Jones was born January 12, 1939 at Russell, IA the son of the late John R. and Beatrice (Hall) Jones. He married Linda Hoal 42 Years ago. He pastored at Lakeside Community Church, New Milford, PA, from 1966-1969; Fellowship Baptist Church of Panama City, FL, from 1988-1993; and Cole Memorial Baptist Church of Hawley, PA, from 1975-1984 and 1993 to present. Mr. Jones was a member of the American Association of Christian Counsellors, volunteered at the Pike County Jail, and was Fundamental Ministerium Coordinator. He is survived by his wife: Linda (Hoal) Jones Son of Beatrice (Hall) Jones Daughter & son-in-law, Becky & Husband Rob Dyck of Elizabeth, CO; Son & daughter-in-law, Atty. Brian & Wife Diane Jones of Britt, IA; daughter & son-in-law, Brenda & Husband, Maj. Dean Whitford of Charlottesville, VA; brother-in-law, Leonard & His Wife, Arline Hoal of New Milford, PA; grandchildren, Douglas, Joylynn & Kaitlynn Jones; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Hannah, Emma, Isaiah & Forrest Whitford. Brother of Dr. Donald E. Jones of Orlando, FL Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' Funeral Chapel, Inc., 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 at Cole Memorial Baptist Church, Church St & Bishop Ave, Hawley. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Susquehanna on Wednesday following the service in Hawley.
