Obituary of Roberta H. Buckingham

Roberta H. Buckingham, age 76, Hawley, died Saturday, January 24, 2004 at home. Mrs. Buckingham was born April 16, 1927 in Hawley, PA and was the daughter of the late Everett and the late Violia (Barklow) DeGroat. She was predeceased by her husband, James E. Buckingham, on Oct 8, 2003. She was also predeceased by a brother, Gordon DeGroat. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Buckingham was a Voting Registrar at Paupack Twp. Polls. She is survived by one daughter: Pamela J. Brodhead of Newport Center, VT and one son: Larry Buckingham of Lakeville, PA; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Jan. 27, from 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, Inc., 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 10:00 at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr., Pastor of Hawley United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Indian Orchard Cemetery, Honesdale on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Animal Shelter of donors choice or Wayne Memorial Hospice
