Mae I. Samford, age 84, of Hawley died Friday, April 2, 2004 at Home. Mrs. Samford was born August 26, 1919 at DeTour Village, MI the daughter of the late William Wallace and the late Veatrice (Watson) MacAdam. She was the wife of the late Kenneth L. Samford. They were married 51 years. She served in the Coast Guard during World War II . She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald & Wallace MacAdam. She was a Homemaker Mrs. Samford was a Charter Member and Elder and Past Pres. Of Womens Assoc. of Grace Presbyterian Church, Vista, CA . Past Pres. Womens Club and Boys Club Womens Aux. She was a tutor for the Lubach Literacy Program and a member of Vista A.F.S. She is survived by one son: Rev. William Samford with whom she resided and six sisters: Frances Bock of DeTour Village, MI, Wanda Fountain of DeTour Village, MI, Eris Comacho of Ft Pierre, FL, Marjorie Lipski of Utica, MI, Mary Tedd of Wayne, MI, Martha Tassier of Cedarville, MI Calling hours will be Monday April 5, 2004 from 7 to 9 PM at First Presbyterian Church ., 823 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Friday April 9, 2004 in California. Burial will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Church St, Hawley, PA 18428 or Grace Presyterian Church 1415 E. Vista Way, Vista CA 72400
