Obituary of Robert E. Kimble

Robert E. Kimble, age 84, of Hawley, died Saturday, May 22, 2004, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Mr. Kimble was born April 29, 1920, in Hawley, PA, and was the son of the late Clarence and the late Augusta (Bea) Kimble. His wife of 62 years, Verna Singer Kimble, died in November 2003.
He served in the Army during World War II. He was a maintenance worker for Wallenpaupack Elementary School until his retirement in 1985. Mr. Kimble was a member of the NRA, Buckhorn Mountain Hunting Club, an avid fisherman and hunter, and loved the great outdoors.
He is survived by one daughter: Donna Ludwig of Bethany, PA and two sons: Robert H. Kimble of Lake Ariel, PA; and Gerald W. Kimble of Granby, CT; 7 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Edwin Bud Kimble, and two sisters, Helen & Bernice.
A private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
