Obituary of Elizabeth Hegenbart

Elizabeth Hegenbart, age 74, of Hawley, died Thursday, July 1, 2004 at home. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Adolph Hegenbart. Mrs. Hegenbart was born October 28, 1929, in Astoria, NY, and was the daughter of the late John and Elise (Schertzinger) Bendele. Mrs. Hegenbart was a homemaker as well as an active member of the Queen of Peace Altar and Rosary Society, Hawley Womens Club, St. Mathias Altar and Rosary Society in Ridgewood, NY, and was a 40 year member of Hilfsverein of the Brooklyn Boys and Girls Chorus. She is survived by her husband, Adolph Hegenbart; one daughter, Jane Eyring of Hawley, PA; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Eyring of Hawley, PA. Calling hours will be Friday, July 2, 2004, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Saturday at 10:00 at Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 319 Chestnut Ave, Hawley where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. William B. Healey, Pastor.
