Obituary of Robert H. Compton, Sr.

Robert H. Compton, Sr., age 70, of Hawley died Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at VNA Hospice, CMC Scranton.
Mr. Compton, was born October 16, 1934 at Wilsonville, PA the son of Mary (Frisbie) Compton and the late John H Compton. His wife of 50 years is Elsie L. Dieterich Compton.
He owned and operated Comptons Auto in Hawley.
Mr. Compton was a member of Hawley Rotary Club, where he served as Sargent at Arms and recently received the Paul Harris Award. He was past president and a current menber of the Wayne-Pike Region, Antique Automobile Club of America also the Scranton region AACA and the National AACA. He was a holder of the 100 Point Judges Badge for AACA. He was a member of the Hawley United Methodist Church.
He loved his greatgranddaughter, Amber and enjoyed playing golf. Bob went to Heaven on Tuesday evening at 7:53 PM.
He is survived by his wife: Elsie L. (Dieterich) Compton
Six sons: William and Darryl Jay and Jays wife Elona of Hawley, PA,
Gerald & his companion Tina of Masthope, Lackawaxen, PA,
Robert H. Jr. and Todd of Blooming Grove, PA,
And Ronald and his wife Janice of Honesdale.
Also his Mother Mary (Frisbie) Compton of Hawley

Grandchildren, Megan, Jeniphor, Jeremy & Brandon ; Step Grandchildren, Colien, Jessica, Joseph & Jonathan and Great Granddaughter, Amber
Calling hours will be Friday from 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Saturday at 10:00 at TEETERS' East Chapel. with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr., Pastor and Rev. Theodore Muller, Visitation Pastor officiating.
Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery, Hawley on Saturday following the service.
