Anne V. Unger, age 94, of Hawley died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Medical Center in Allentown. Mrs. Unger was born September 12, 1918 in Forest City, PA and was the daughter of the late Thomas and the late Anna (Zwicharowski) Snarcavage. She was predeceased by her huband, Joseph P. Unger in 1974 and two brothers Walter and Frank Snarcavage. Anne was a founding member of the Hawley Fire Dept. Ladies Aux. and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of B.V.M. Queen of Peace Church and was a funeral luncheon lady at the church. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all. Anne loved to crochet and gladly gave her creations to others. She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law, Ann Marie & Terry Blaum of Roaring Brook Twp., PA; granddaughter, Marci Goodman of Roaring Brook Twp., PA; granddaughter, Dr. Krista M. Goodman & her fiancee Michael Bott of Macungie, PA; grandson, Justin Blaum of Toledo, OH; one sister: Helen Gabris of Syracuse, NY. Calling hours will be Monday, May 13th from 3 to 7 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 14th at 10 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Burial will be in B.V.M. Queen Of Peace Cemetery in Hawley. Memorials may be made to Hawley Fire Dept., PO Box 61, Hawley, PA 18428.
