William G. Noble, Sr., age 85, of Hawley, died Monday, December 27, 2004, at St. Marys Villa, Elmhurst, PA. Born January 11, 1919, in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Amos and the late Bertha (Miller) Noble. He served in the Navy in the Pacific from 1944 to 1946 during World War II. He was retired as a railroad train designer from ACF Industries in 1980 and was formerly a resident of Greentown, PA, and St. Charles, Missouri. He was a member of the VFW in St. Charles, Missouri.
He is survived by two daughters: JoAnn Noble of Florida, Lori Noble of Hawley, PA; two sons: Barry Noble of Bartonsville, PA, and Shawn Noble of Hamlin, PA; three stepdaughters: Pam Gipson of Missouri, Cindy Weidner of Philipsburg, NJ and Christie McDonald of Hawley, PA; three stepsons, Fritz Litzenberger of Paupack, PA, John Rice of Honesdale, PA, and Glen Rice of Paupack, PA; and many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. He was predeceased by three sons, William Jr., Butch and Bruce.
The Memorial Service will be Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, at 2:00PM at Paupack United Methodist Church, Rt 507, Paupack, with Rev. Robert B. Kolvik-Campbell, Pastor, officiating.
