Florian Surge, age 89, of Cricket Hill Rd., Hawley died Monday, December 27, 2004 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.
Mr. Surge was born April 26, 1915 in Nieder Mosel, Gottschee, Austria, the son of the late Franz and the late Louise Surge.
He was retired as a Machinist from Armor Elevator Co. In Woodside, NY in 1980..
He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Erna (Stimitz) Surge; sons & daughters-in-law, Walter & Elaine Surge of Deer Park, NY and Karl & Lili Surge of Glendale, NY; two sisters: Albina Winding of Austria and Irma Letholtz of Las Vegas, NV; 4 Grandchildren, Donna, Debbie, Karl & Carolina; 2 Great Grandchildren, Jesse & Sierra
Calling hours will be Wednesday December 29, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. and Sunday Jan. 2, 2005 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at George Werst Funeral Home in Glendale, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday Jan. 3,. 2005 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Glendal, NY
Burial will be in Cypress Hills Cemetery, Glendale, NY on Monday, Jan. 3, 2005.
