Obituary of Evelyn E. Murray

Evelyn E. Murray, age 84, of Hawley, died Friday, January 21, 2005, at Bethany Village, Bethany. Born in Hawley, she was the daughter of the late Patrick H. and the late Emily (Sping) Monaghan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Murray, in 1983. She was retired from her position of bookkeeper for Ugite Gas Co. and was a member of Queen of Peace RC Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by a son: Col. Thomas P. Murray of Waynesville, MO; a sister: Alice Morgan of California; five grandchildren: Kirk, Christy, and Keith Vollkommer, and Christopher and Heather E. Murray; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Vollkommer in 2001, as well as three brothers, Edward, Robert and Joseph Monaghan.
A funeral mass is to be scheduled at a later date.
