Obituary of Donald Jack Davis

Donald Jack Davis, age 77, of Hawley, died Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at home. Mr. Davis was born September 15, 1927, in Lakeville, PA, and was the son of the late Jesse and the late Harriet (Lemfert) Davis. He served in the Air Force and had worked as a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Davis was a member of the Operating Engineers Union #542 in Wilkes-Barre, Hawley Lions Club, and a member & past secretary of Forest Vol. Fire Dept. Mr. Davis was also an avid sportsman. He is survived by his wife: Helen (Pauloski) Davis; one daughter: Jane Johnson of Baltimore, MD; one sister: Mae Firmstone of Honesdale, PA; one brother: Russell Davis of Lakeville, PA; three stepdaughters: Lorraine Zentgraf of Newark, DE; Barbara Oliver of Newark, DE; and Diane Dein of Honesdale, PA; one stepson: Daniel Sheehan of Baybridge, VA; and two granddaughters: Heather & Rachel. Calling hours will be Thursday February 3, 2005, from 3 to 6 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral mass will be held Friday, February 4, 2005, at 11:30AM at St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, White Mills, with Rev. Joseph P. Kutch, Pastor, officating.
