Robert J. Parkhurst, age 89, of Lakeville died Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.
Mr. Parkhurst was born September 12, 1915 in Manhattan, NY and was the son of the late Robert and the late Katherine (Deimel) Parkhurst.
He served in the Navy from 1943 to 1945 during World War II .
Mr. Parkhurst was an avid reader.
Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of Lark Lunch.
He is survived by two daughters: Joanne Parkhurst of Syracuse, NY, Florence Morton of Lakeville, PA and one Son & Daughter-in-law, Ronald & Mary Lou Parkhurst of Port Jefferson, NY; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Tuesday March 1, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 10:00AM at Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 319 Chestnut Ave, Hawley. Rev. William B. Healey, Pastor will officiate.
Burial will be in Queen of Peace RC Cemetery in Hawley, PA
