Obituary of Richard C. VonGerichten

Richard C. VonGerichten, age 61, of Fawn Lake Forest, Hawley, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at his home. Mr. VonGerichten was born September 3, 1943, in Brooklyn, NY, and was the son of Edward and Mary (Stasuk) VonGerichten. He was married to the former Joyce Keller for 40 years.
He retired as a trailer driver for UPS in 1993. After moving to Fawn Lake, Richard was employed in the maintainence department at Woodloch Springs. He enjoyed building wooden flags, bird houses and other items.
Mr. VonGerichten attended Bethel Lutheran Church in Rowland. He was a member and past President of Central Voulnteer Fire Dept. #27, Bohemia.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter & son-in-law: Maryellen & James Quiles of Bethlehem, PA; a son & daughter-in-law: Richard & Shenniff VonGerichten of Long Island, NY; his parents: Edward & Mary VonGerichten of Hawley, PA; a brother: Edward VonGerichten of Long Island, NY; and three grandchildren: James, Kately & Kevin.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 7 to 9 PM in Teeters First Chapel and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Saturday at 10:30 at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, with Rev. Norman R. Beighley, Pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church, Rowland, officiating.
